HEALTHY FOOD TIPS

Here are some tips and tricks to eat healthy!

  • Choose organic ingredients with no GMOs

  • Make spaghetti or fettuccine with whole grain noodles. Side it with your favorite veggies

  • Eat organic rice, with some vegetables or meat on the side.

  • Try making food at home so you know all the ingredients. Fast food can include unhealthy additives that add more calories and can create fat in the body.

  • Avoid drinking sodas and other bubbly drinks. Opt for 100% fruit juice or water.

  • Herbal teas are amazing for you! Try steeping your own tea from loose herbs or purchase organic tea bags from the store. Sweeten it with honey instead of sugar

  • Avoid frying foods because it strips the nutrients. Try grilling or broiling instead.

  • Butter has no health benefits. Try using oils.

  • Swap out your chips and candy with healthy snacks such as nuts, seeds, fruits, and oats.

  • Popcorn is one of the healthiest snacks.

HEALTHY FOOD TIPS

  • Try taking vitamin supplements, go to a doctor and get a blood test to see if you’re deficient in any vitamin.

  • It’s recommended to eat lean meat. Lean meat has a lower fat content and less calories.

  • Lean meats are low in fat, high in protein, and have plenty of nutrients. They are great for weight loss and building muscle. Examples include skinless chicken, and turkey breast, steak, and pork with 5% fat content or less.

  • Avoid adding breading your chicken or seafood because it adds more calories.

  • Choose unsalted nuts and seeds to reduce sodium intake

  • Avoid using heavy sauces, like barbeque sauce. Use herbs, spices, olive oil, and vegetables to naturally season your food!

  • Eat yogurt for breakfast, with fruit and honey.

  • Create a fruit smoothie with your favorite fruits. Throw in some vegetables too!
