The Town of Edmonston has been impacted by severe flooding in the last two years due to the increased intensity of rainstorms. There are several actions residents can take that will help improve drainage and storm water management on their private property in the Town and otherwise to help mitigate future flood events. The Town has established a program to support these efforts by owners of single-family homes and to reimburse renters for flood insurance (“Program”).

 

Applications will be received and reviewed for approval on a rolling basis beginning February 1, 2023, until the allocated grant funding has been exhausted. Upon receipt of a pending approval notice, applicants must enter into a grant agreement with the Town. Work must be performed and completed between the dates of February 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, to be eligible for the Program.
