Composting in Edmonston!

We here in the town of Edmonston have partnered with Eco City Farms and Compost Crew and are bringing composting to Edmonston!

What is composting?

Recycling food and other organic waste into compost provides a range of environmental benefits, including improving soil health, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, recycling nutrients, and mitigating the impact of droughts.

What items can I Compost?

Any and all forms of human food is acceptable including:

All Fruit, Peels, and Seeds I Shellfish I Meat I Bones I Coffee Grounds I Egg Shells I Rotton Food I Freezer-burned Food I Processed Food

How does curbside composting work?

During the week, you will drop your food scraps into your Compost Crew bin and leave at the curb the night before pick-up. Compost Crew will collect your food scraps from your curb every week. Then repeat!

How does curbside composting work?

Compost Crew processes your food scraps into nutrient-rich soil at their local Compost Outpost® at Eco City Farms.

We encourage all of our residents to participate in the Composting Program, to sign up please fill out the form below.
